This year, I had the incredible opportunity to spend some quality time at the Park Hyatt in Washington, D.C. with my childhood friend Ally. The serene atmosphere and luxurious setting provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and goal-setting as we welcomed the new year.

Setting the Vibes for Reflection
Our time together was filled with meaningful conversations about our intentions and aspirations for the upcoming year. We've both been on an incredible growth journey these past few years, so it's always nice to take a breather to sit in elegant surroundings that inspire us to think deeply about what we truly want to achieve and remind us how attainable our goals are. Here are some key takeaways from this time of reflection:
Refining Our Sense of Self: Fully understanding and accepting myself has been a true accelerant in drive me towards more fulfillment. It's been so important for me to reconnect with myself and start to do energy audits so what gives me energy and uses my energy throughout the day or week.
Setting Clear Intentions: When you understand yourself, you should then create clear and specific goals that reflect what you hope to see for yourself. At this point, you don't need the plan, but you do need to honest about what you really want.
Embracing Change: This is the fun part. Figuring out what works and doesn't work. How are you going to make a change. Personally, I love growth spaces, but I still have to work through the fear of getting started and potentially being horrible.
Prioritizing Self-Care: We can all agree that taking care of ourselves is essential to achieving our goals, both mentally and physically. I've learned through therapy that self-care isn't just journaling and massages, but actually anything that recharges and energizes you. This has been a total game changer and I look forward to understanding and incorporating the things that give me energy into my life as often as possible.
Building a Support System: Community is key. As we look toward building a future that is energizing, it become so important to have people around you that aligned with my values. Something worth note is that I'm still figuring out how to balance relationships that are healthy and valuable, but just a little draining. We all are perfectly aligned with everyone, but everyone can add to the beautiful mosaic our lives.
Looking Ahead
As we step into this new year, I feel rejuvenated and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. The conversations we had at the Park Hyatt have set a powerful tone for my intentions. I encourage everyone to take some time to reflect, set your goals, and share them with someone who inspires you. Together, let’s make this year one of growth, positivity, and achievement!
Here’s to a fresh start and a year filled with purpose!
